Learning for Unfortunate Children in Kenya

Learning for Unfortunate Children in Kenya (LUCK), is a small organisation that is providing funding and sponsorship for the education of poor children in Kenya. Ensuring they get a better chance in life and a safe environment to grow up in. Over 150 children have been sponsored so far, including the four smiling girls above. Thirty three of those joined school at the beginning of first term 2009 and the remaining have been joining up to June 2017. Our sponsors and donors not have not only given the children education, but have also provided them with a home and in some cases saved them from hunger as the children are in boarding schools. At last they have a chance to be children again, in a positive learning environment rather than young school dropouts being forced into loitering in the villages to look for cheap labour. The children already sponsored are so different from the poor children Joyce met at the IDP camp in Eldoret in November 2008, who had no place to call home but worn out tents. Some children have made it to university, college while others have benefited in different way including joining the army and police which would otherwise be impossible without a form 4 certificate. Special thanks to our sponsors and donors mainly from UK, America and Switzerland as this would not have been possible without you, we pray that your kindness comes back to you many times over. Below are some of the lucky IDP children attending school.
